My sweet 'lil angel by CWRudy My sweet 'lil angel by CWRudy
My first nose art pin-up, in which I imagined what would be on my fighter had I been a pilot in WWII - a (slightly) idealized version of my wife of 25 years.

And no, I've never seen her chomping a stogie - that's just visual shorthand for her being a little toughie.

I'll enable prints if there is interest, also available at cafe press and redbubble.

You do a marvelous job of these, you would have been in high demand back in the day when it was politically correct to bomb the enemy back into the day of the stone age. The cigar is a great touch, albeit a metaphorical rather than literal one. Stand aside Gabriel, the Lady's handlin' this one.

Thank you for your comments! While I don't aim to be offensive for it's own sake, political correctness has never been my strong suit. Her shoulder plates are inscribed with the Army 8th Air Corp insignia: [link] This was before I learned my lesson about jamming every obscure reference that crosses my mind into each picture. Who am I kidding - I'll never learn that lesson...

Well, the world is just a complex place and we are extremely fallible beings. Only the future beatified among us are going to get through without inadvertently being offensive now and again. The best we can do is try not to intentionally step on toes for the sake of being mean. I think i used to have an actual uniform arm patch with the eight insignia but i am sure it has been long lost. The things we do not realize the significance of as kid.
